Bloody Be: Hymns of Hunger and Women-Rage
Created through a collaborative devising process, Bloody Be is an original play challenging the accepted stories of three mythic/historical women who killed their children. Our cast represented an intersection of identities around ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, and gender identity, but everyone coalesced around women’s historical and contemporary relationship to violence. Bloody Be re-examines the dominant narratives we've been taught to accept about women and their own power. Produced at Virginia Tech's Theater 101 2015.
